Noticeable but not dominant wood spice fights a bit with the otherwise well-layered aromas of earth

definitely makes up for the lost ground

very elegant and transparent

floral and spice scents are underscored by emerging mineral and succulent herb flourishes

Francois Carillon, Puligny Montrachet Vintage:2018 Noticeable but not dominant wood(from 8 different lieux dits that total a whopping 5 ha). There is a whiff of the exotic in the form of passion fruit present on the acacia blossom and citrus peel inflected nose. There is again very good volume as well as a relatively sophisticated mouthfeel to the middle weight flavors where the seductive and lingering finish is supported by a moderately firm acid spine. This is an excellent Puligny villages and recommended.
