possibly unique armchair with huge decorative appearance and folk art vibrancy

There is a loose postcard included in the album that reads to the reverse ‘These cards were my grandmothers (Lily)… John” though it is not dated but is probably mid-20thC

for which the lozenge format remains the norm in both regions

There are some losses to the carving and gilding but this is relatively low considering the age and the whole still retains much original paint and probably the original velvet upholstery
